Mohawk Industries Inc. will pay just over $1.9 million to a class of current and former workers after a federal district judge granted final approval to a wage and hour settlement.
Judge Jennifer L. Thurston of the US District Court for the Eastern District of California said Monday the deal passes muster because the terms are “fair, reasonable, and adequate,” and the plaintiff showed that certifying the class of hourly or non-exempt workers is “appropriate” under the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
