The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity is launching its new unemployment insurance tax portal Feb. 23, according to an update on the state’s employer portal.
The current tax portal, Michigan Web Account Manager or MiWAM, will be offline and unavailable for employers and third-party administrators from Feb. 18 to Feb. 22, as the new portal, called MiUI, begins the first phase of its launch, according to the website. MiWAM will be available again on Feb. 23.
Once MiUI is available, employers and third-party administrators must use it for all Michigan unemployment tax purposes, according to the website. ...
