The Mexican President’s Office Dec. 3 announced an increase in the 2026 daily minimum wage rates, effective Jan. 1, 2026. The announcement includes measures to increase, to: 1) 315.04 Mexican pesos (US$17.28) from 278.80 pesos (US$15.29), the daily general minimum wage rate; 2) 440.87 pesos (US$24.18) from 419.88 pesos (US$23.03), the daily minimum wage rate for the Northern Border Free Zone (ZLFN).
