The Jamaican Government March 17 announced increases in weekly minimum wages, effective June 1, to: 1) J$13,000 (US$85.54) from J$9,000 (US$59.22) per 40-hour work week; and; 2) J$14,000 (US$92.12) from J$10,500 (US$69.09) for industrial security guards. [Jamaica, Government Portal, 03/17/23]
