The transmittal form for filing 2026 Forms W-2 on paper with the Social Security Administration, as well as its counterpart for territorial versions of Forms W-2, were released Oct. 28 by the Internal Revenue Service.
The 2026 Form W-3, Transmittal of Wage and Tax Statements, did not contain changes from the 2025 form except for dates. It is sent with paper Forms W-2, Wage and Tax Statement, to the SSA.
