DOL Files Suit Against Missouri Nursing Home for Wage Violations

The US Department of Labor sued a Missouri nursing home and its owners for allegedly failing to pay overtime wages and keeping poor records in violation of federal labor laws.

Superior Manor of Festus LLC and owners Sara Mosley and Betrina Gaither repeatedly violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by not paying employees time-and-a-half for hours worked beyond 40 per week, according to a lawsuit filed Monday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. The government also seeks back wages and liquidated damages for affected workers, and $103,634 in penalties.
