CBS Fails to Dismiss Bias Suit by White, Male ‘Seal Team’ Writer

A California federal judge rejected a request from CBS Entertainment, CBS Studios, and Paramount Global to toss a lawsuit accusing them of unlawfully denying a White heterosexual man career opportunities because of his race, sex, and sexual orientation.

Judge John F. Walter of the US District Court for the Central District of California on Wednesday declined, at least for now, to entertain the companies’ argument that they have a constitutional right under the First Amendment to select the writers whose work shapes CBS’s artistic enterprise.
