Caribbean Netherlands Minimum Wages Increase for 2022

The Netherlands’ Caribbean special municipalities increased their minimum wages Jan. 1, the islands’ government said.

The U.S. dollar-denominated minimum wages increased by 10%, to $6.03 in Bonaire, $7.30 in Sint Eustatius, and $7.19 in Saba, up from $5.48, $6.63, and $6.54, respectively, the islands’ government said in a poster (Dutch). The minimum wages were not adjusted in 2021.

Additionally, the social tax rates included in the poster were unchanged from 2021, the government said.
