Recent changes to the Canada Labour Code and Manitoba’s Employment Standards Code extended periods of bereavement leave for employees covered by each code.
Manitoba’s Employment Standards Code Amendment Act, which received assent and took effect May 30, increases the period of unpaid bereavement leave to five from three days.
