Biden Looks to Tie Infrastructure Cash to Pro-Union Policies (1)

President Joe Biden will direct federal agencies to prioritize companies that work with unions and offer strong benefits and high wages when doling out cash from the infrastructure and green energy laws enacted during his administration.

In what the administration calls a “first of its kind” move, Biden will sign an executive order on Friday outlining specific job quality standards federal agencies should seek out when spending funds from the American Rescue Plan, Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, CHIPS and Science Act, and Inflation Reduction Act.
