A lawsuit accusing
Sean Hoyt Jr. drove for Amazon Flex, a program that allows drivers to sign up through an online application for package delivery shifts of varying length, for which they use their own vehicles. Hoyt claims that by misclassifying the drivers, Amazon circumvented California employment law, failed to properly pay the drivers overtime wages, failed to reimburse the drivers for business expenses, and withheld meal and rest breaks.
