Amazon Illegally Subpoenaed Union Leaders, NLRB Judge Rules (1)

Amazon.com Inc. illegally issued subpoenas to current and former workers—including some prominent Amazon Labor Union members—as part of the company’s challenge to the union’s historic victory at a Staten Island warehouse, a National Labor Relations Board judge ruled.

Fifteen of the 20 Amazon information requests at issue violated federal labor law, Administrative Law Judge Benjamin Green held Wednesday. Most of the illegal subpoenas sought communications with NLRB lawyers and with worker advocacy groups, he said.
