West Virginia’s withholding tables were updated following the signing into law of income tax rate reductions, the state tax division said April 1.
The state’s income tax rates were reduced by 5% each in SB 392, signed March 31 by Gov. Patrick Morrisey (R), and range from 2.11% to 4.58%, down from 2.22% to 4.82%. The bill takes effect June 12, 90 days after it was passed by the legislature, retroactively to Jan. 1, 2026.
