The hourly minimum wage in Vermont is expected to increase to $14.42 from $14.01 effective Jan. 1, 2026, according to Bloomberg Tax calculations.
The minimum wage for service and tipped employees is expected to rise to $7.21 from $7.01, according to the calculations. Service and tipped employees are employees of hotels, motels, tourist attractions, or restaurants who customarily and regularly receive more than $120 in tips per month for direct and personal customer service.
The calculations are based on Vermont statutes and federal data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
