UK Big Four Lose Listed Clients, Focus on Large Audits (1)

The Big Four accounting firms continue to lose ground on the number of UK-listed companies they audit but maintain their stranglehold over vetting the books of the biggest companies, according to a new report.

Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG, and PwC all lost listed company audits in the three months ending on Feb. 11, Adviser Rankings said Monday. Nevertheless, all of them saw the value of their UK audit clients increase over the quarter as they concentrated on doing fewer, bigger audits.
