The SEC is looking into the financial reporting practices of Spire Global Inc., the satellite company said in a quarterly filing Tuesday.
The US Securities and Exchange Commission subpoenaed Spire for records related to the company’s premature filing of its fiscal 2024 annual report, the company said in its Form 10-Q. Spire initially filed that report before its Big Four auditor, PwC, completed the audit.
The subpoena also sought information on internal controls and historical accounting policies at Spire, which builds and operates a satellite constellation that provides data to help predict weather, among other uses.
