SEC Chief Eyes New Token Taxonomy for Crypto Industry (1)

The head of US Securities and Exchange Commission expects the agency to develop in the coming months a so-called token taxonomy laying out what kinds of digital assets are in the regulator’s purview.

“We are going to draw clear lines and explain them in clear terms,” SEC Chairman Paul Atkins said in prepared remarks Wednesday at a Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia conference.
