Reeves Vows to Tackle Inflation, Hints No Bank Tax in Budget (1)

Rachel Reeves said she would look at regulated prices in her UK budget next month as part of efforts to bring down inflation, in a sign the government is considering action to help reduce energy bills.

Briefing reporters on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund meetings in Washington, Britain’s Chancellor of the Exchequer also hinted that a bank tax wasn’t on the agenda, saying she wanted a “competitive environment” and that she recognized bank taxes are already high.
