The UK saw a 9% increase in duties collected from the betting and gaming industry over the past five months compared to the same period last year, according to statistics released by the country’s tax authority.
The majority of £1.78 billion ($2.39 billion) in receipts came from Remote Gaming Duty (35%) and Lottery Duty (24%), according to His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs.
