Randall Thomas joined Morgan Lewis as a partner in its tax-exempt organizations practice in Washington, DC, the firm announced Monday.
Thomas advises on tax matters related to tax-exempt organizations and charitable giving, and he has counseled the Justice Department’s Tax and Appellate Divisions and the Solicitor General’s Office on litigation involving exempt organizations and charitable giving.
He will concentrate on advancing the firm’s tax-exempt organizations and broader tax capabilities, complementing the group’s work across regulatory, compliance, and litigation matters, the firm said.
He joins from the Office of Chief Counsel for the IRS.
