Japan’s withholding tables effective Jan. 1, 2027, were published in an April 30 notice from its finance ministry in the country’s gazette.
The notice from the Ministry of Finance (Japanese), on pages 141-151 of the Official Gazette Extra Issue No. 100 dated April 30, contains monthly and daily tables and a table for bonuses. The monthly table covers income of up to 740,000 yen (US$4,731.68), while the daily table covers income of up to 24,000 yen.
