GenAI Investors Get New Tool Tracking Performance of OpenAI, xAI

Investors will be able to track the performance of generative artificial intelligence companies including Anthropic, OpenAI and xAI Corp. more closely with a new index monitoring the sector.

Morningstar Inc. is launching a gauge tracking 20 GenAI companies that will be published daily and use funding data gathered by PitchBook, which Morningstar acquired in 2016, according to Sanjay Arya, head of innovation for Morningstar’s index business.
