Life Time workers secured a federal judge’s initial approval for a $1.25 million class-wide deal to end their wage-and-hour dispute with the chain of athletic clubs.
The settlement covers more than 7,500 people who worked for Life Time Inc.—formerly known as Life Time Fitness—and LTF Club Management Co. in California over the past decade, the US District Court for the Eastern District of California said. The workers will recover less than $63 on average, according to the Wednesday order preliminarily approving the deal and certifying a worker class.
