Estonia has suspended interest penalties on late corporate tax payments for two months to help companies affected by the new coronavirus, the Ministry of Finance announced Wednesday.
- Penalties will be suspended from March 1 to May 1.
- Companies must still continue to meet tax filing deadlines. For example, value-added tax filings are due March 20, the government said.
- Minister of Finance Martin Helme said a broader economic package to lessen the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak will be released soon.
