Enterprise, EEOC Reach $1.8 Million Deal in Age Bias Dispute

Enterprise Leasing Co. of Florida LLC will pay $1.8 million and provide additional relief to end an EEOC lawsuit over claims the car rental company discriminated against applicants aged over 40.

Enterprise will provide annual anti-discrimination training “specific” to the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, and investigate all complaints of hiring-related age bias for the management trainee program made to a company hotline or its human resources department, according to a proposed decree filed Wednesday with the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
