El Cerrito and San Carlos, California, announced hourly minimum wage rates effective Jan. 1, 2026, on their websites.
The hourly minimum wage will rise to $18.82 from $18.34 in El Cerrito and to $17.75 from $17.32 in San Carlos, according to the websites.
Both cities updated their minimum wage posters to reflect the increase. In El Cerrito, the posters are available in English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese. In San Carlos, the posters are available in English, Spanish, and Chinese.
