Edgewater, Colorado, Announces Higher Tip Credit for 2026

Edgewater, Colorado, is increasing its maximum tip credit to $4.67 from $3.02 for calendar year 2026, under an ordinance effective Jan. 1, 2026.

Ordinance 2025-23 only raises the maximum tip credit amount for 2026. Starting in 2027, the tip credit amount will revert to $3.02 unless the Edgewater City Council passes another ordinance to change it.

Edgewater is the first jurisdiction to take advantage of Colorado HB 1208, which was passed earlier this year and allows localities to establish tip credit amounts larger than the state’s $3.02 rate. However, localities using a larger tip credit must ensure that the ...
