Artificial intelligence’s impact on the necessary skill set for early-career accountants is the focus of an industry trade group’s workforce research initiative.
The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants will study both aspiring and licensed CPAs to better understand the competencies people need to excel as companies integrate artificial intelligence into day-to-day work, the group said Monday.
The effort, called the “Profession Ready Initiative,” aims to help both CPAs and their employers understand how the workforce is evolving.
