U.S. manufacturers have a new option to make sure their supply chain controls are working as intended.
The American Institute of CPAs on Thursday introduced a new risk assessment framework geared toward testing supply chains. It also issued a batch of new guidance for firms that opt to provide the testing service. The new service line, which has been in the works for several years, adds to the suite of system and organization controls assessments, better known as SOC testing, that CPA firms can offer to clients.
