Colorado Gov. Polis Opposes Measure to Revamp Sweeping AI Law

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis opposes a measure that would change the state’s first-in-the-nation anti-AI bias law unless lawmakers amend it, according to his spokesman.

The Democratic governor wants fewer reporting requirements on developers and users as well as increased authority for the state attorney general to handle consumer complaints about automated decisions, according to spokesperson Eric Maruyama
