The House Judiciary Committee signed off on a bill that would ban enforcement of predispute arbitration agreements that shield businesses by barring workers and consumers from pursuing claims in court.
The Forced Arbitration Injustice Repeal Act (H.R. 963), which the panel advanced in a 23-14 vote Wednesday, is similar to a measure the House approved in 2019 with bipartisan support that failed to gain traction in the Senate.
