2 Maryland Counties Increase Tax Rates for 2026

Two Maryland counties increased their income tax rates for 2026, the state comptroller’s office said Jan. 21.

The two increases were for Allegany County, which increased to 3.2% from 3.03%, and Kent County, which increased to the maximum 3.3% from 3.2%, the office said on its website. Other county tax rates were unchanged, including the rates and brackets for Anne Arundel and Frederick Counties, which use graduated instead of flat income tax rates.
