A House Ways and Means subcommittee scheduled a field hearing on Tuesday, April 14, in Sarasota, Florida, according to three sources familiar with the panel’s plans.
The Health subcommittee hearing is led by Chair Vern Buchanan (R-Fla.), who is also vice chair of the main committee.
Buchanan, whose district includes part of Sarasota County, is one of several long-tenured members of the panel headed for the exits at the end of this Congress.
A tentative schedule obtained by Bloomberg Tax encourages participation from all committee members. It said Ways and Means Chair Jason Smith (R-Mo.) is expected to attend.
