Turkish Vice President Rules Out Tax Hikes With Eye on Inflation

Turkey’s Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz said the government will seek to raise revenue without further increasing taxes to avoid stoking inflation.

Reducing the size of the informal economy, broadening the taxpayer base and improving collection are all priority areas, Yilmaz said in an interview with Bloomberg News on Friday. Another is social security, which the state will strive to make more effective and financially sustainable, he said.
