Trump Directs Treasury to ‘Strictly Enforce’ Energy Credits’ End

President Donald Trump on Monday issued an executive order directing the Treasury Department to take steps to “strictly enforce” the termination of tax credits for wind and solar projects included in the GOP tax and domestic spending law he signed Friday.

The order directs Treasury to take actions within 45 days of the law’s enactment that includes issuing guidance “to ensure that policies concerning the ‘beginning of construction’ are not circumvented, including by preventing the artificial acceleration or manipulation of eligibility and by restricting the use of broad safe harbors unless a substantial portion of a subject facility has ...
