Treasury Assistant Secretary for Tax Policy Ken Kies said the IRS will continue to roll out guidance to implement the GOP tax law even as the government shutdown drags into its fourth week.
“We are very keenly focused on getting the guidance out,” Kies said Wednesday, speaking at a Council for Electronic Revenue Communication Advancement conference. The agency brought back 45 lawyers Monday in the Office of Chief Counsel who work on drafting, he added.
