Texas Amends Property Tax Rules for Heavy Equipment Inventories

The Texas Governor signed a law amending provisions related to the ad valorem property taxation of certain dealer inventories of heavy equipment in Texas. The law modifies requirements around assigning unit property taxes to each item of heavy equipment that is sold, leased, or rented, as well as related record-keeping and reporting requirements for dealers.
