Poland Wants to Streamline Tax Dispute Resolution to Cut Costs

Poland plans to let taxpayers and tax authorities resolve disputes through voluntary tax settlements, under a new item on the government’s legislative agenda.

The new option, which the government sees as a cost‑effective solution for both sides, would be available for non‑deliberate tax underpayments.

It would grant taxpayers easier repayment terms and reduced sanctions, while saving tax authorities the cost of lengthy audits, enforcement proceedings and potential court litigation.
