The Philippine Court of Tax Appeals Nov. 6 issued a decision in CTA Case No. 10883, clarifying refunds of unutilized and excess creditable withholding tax (CWT). The taxpayer, a domestic corporation, sought a refund of its unutilized and excess CWT for taxable year (TY) 2019. The taxpayer argued that it was entitled to a refund and that it complied with all the applicable requirements for a successful refund claim.
