The Mississippi Department of Revenue (DOR) Aug. 4 adopted amendments to a regulation regarding additional homestead exemption for property tax purposes. The rule includes additional homestead exemptions for unremarried surviving spouses of certain veterans and other individuals, as provided in HB 812 from the 2025 Regular Session.
