Mexico Calls on New Judiciary to Tackle Tax Evasion Cases

Among the issues to be taken on by Mexico’s newly elected judges will be cases involving an unnamed business group that owes 74 billion pesos, said tax prosecutor Grisel Galeano Garcia at the president’s daily press briefing.

• Company has unpaid taxes stemming from 2008, 2010 and 2013
• It has taken over 60 legal actions in order to avoid payment of those taxes
