IRS Commissioner Danny Werfel said Saturday he’s interested in exploring “safe harbors” and other possible initiatives to strengthen voluntary compliance with tax laws.
“I absolutely think there’s ways in which to meet all types of taxpayers where they are and find a sensible solution,” Werfel said at the American Bar Association’s May Tax Meeting in Washington.
