IRS Issues Notice for Public Recommendations for 2026-2027 Priority Guidance Plan

The IRS has issued a notice inviting the public to submit recommendations for items to be included in the 2026-2027 Priority Guidance Plan. This plan will identify tax guidance projects to be prioritized from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. The IRS will consider whether the recommended guidance relates to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, addresses regulations outlined in Executive Order 14219, reduces controversy and taxpayer burden, promotes effective tax administration, and can be applied uniformly.
