Taxpayers who file electronically, request a direct deposit and don’t have any errors on their returns will get their tax refunds within about 21 days of filing their return, the typical wait time for tax refunds, IRS Commissioner Chuck Rettig said.
- “If they avoid errors when they file we still anticipate that most people will not experience delays,” Rettig said on a call with reporters Monday
