Indiana DOR Sustains Taxpayer’s Protest Regarding Vehicle Trust Transfer

The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) issued a ruling regarding the taxpayer’s use tax for the year 2023. The taxpayer, an Indiana resident, purchased a new vehicle and transferred ownership to a living trust. The Department initially assessed use tax based on the vehicle’s average selling price.
