The Idaho State Tax Commission published a document announcing the Veterans Property Tax Benefit program. The benefit reduces property taxes for qualified veterans with a 100 percent service-connected disability or those receiving 100 percent compensation due to individual unemployment, by as much as $1,500 on their home and up to one acre of land. Eligible veterans must apply for the benefit with their county assessor’s office from Jan. 1, 2026, through April 15, 2026. [Idaho State Tax Comm’n, Publication 650, 10/24/25]
