Rebecca Kysar, a Fordham Law School professor and outspoken critic of the 2017 tax law, is joining Treasury as a counselor to the assistant secretary for tax policy, according to two people familiar with the appointment.
Kysar’s responsibilities will include weighing in on multilateral international tax affairs, and development and implementation of domestic tax policies. At Fordham, her classes and research focused on several areas, including tax policy, international tax, and the legislative and regulatory processes.
