The Colorado Department of Revenue (DOR) published a revised Colorado Firearms and Ammunition Tax Guide providing guidance on the state’s 6.5 percent excise tax imposed on vendors’ net taxable sales of firearms, firearm precursor parts, and ammunition sold at retail in Colorado.
