Trump-Linked Lobby Shops Post Revenue Rise as Clients Sign Up

The lobbying firm Ballard Partners and other influence shops with ties to the Trump administration posted sharp increases in federal lobbying revenue this year as clients sought help on new tariffs, campus probes, funding cuts, and other issues.

Ballard’s federal lobbying revenue, from clients including Harvard College and BMW of North America, surged to $14 million in the first quarter, putting the firm in the top tier of K Street shops, according to lobbying disclosures due Monday and a tabulation from the firm.
