Texas Expands Certain Rapid Transit Authority Fuel Tax Exemption

The Texas Legislature enacted a law relating to the operation of certain metropolitan transit authorities. The law includes expanding the exemption for transit authorities from fuel taxes on compressed natural gas and liquefied natural gas where the fueling facilities are exclusively owned and operated by the authority, to allow certain metropolitan rapid transit authorities to provide fuel to other governmental entities during emergencies.
